There's no guarantee the dividend will be maintained. No counting your chickens before they have hatched, we'll only know what the dividend is once it's announced.
*IF* the dividend is maintained, then yes we are likely to see a bounce in the price. But even if the next dividend is maintained, what about the next and the next etc.
Untimely the share price of any company is driven by one thing and one thing only: Sentiment.
