The number of shares in the DRP is rounded down to fit within the amount of the dividend. The remainder is held in a Dividend Reinvestment Fund and is used in a future dividend to increase the amount. Eventually you get one more share thanks to the residual building up enough.
The carried forward amount is shown on your dividend statement.
