Go back to 2007 and that mining tax then the big crash and FMG fell to $1.13
The next year there was 3 dividends. They did a bonus dividend and the total of divs for that next year was $1.13
So those that bought at $1.13 got their money back in full the next year plus added franking credits.
I cleared everything Jan of 2020 due to a virus I heard about and the science was saying it would be devastating on
markets so I bailed on every stock I had.
FMG fell to $8.20 then started to rise and I bought back in at just over $9 a share and the divs since then have nearly
paid for what I bought the shares for again.
The best time to buy is in massive market crashes where it drops for about 3 months before it levels out and bargain
hunters return.
I see another major crash next year. Trump gets back in and markets may go up a bit like last time he won before
crashing backwards. Biden wins then dies of old age or heart attack and markets go crazy with a correction which
may lead to a crash.
