A question on the theoretical ex-dividend price. As a non-resident shareholder, the ordinary dividend is worth 9 cps share to me (no NRWT) and the special dividend is worth 15.3 cps (21.9 cps less 30% NRWT) for a total of 24.3 cents.
Based on the current share price of $3.28 that's a theoretical ex dividend price of $3.04 (+/- 1 cent).
Just wondering what the maths looks like for the Australian tax resident shareholders and whether (given the size of the dividend) there might be a small arbitrage in there?
