I am a bit perplexed -yes there is ellerston -but there must be more to it than that - i have followed rural stocks pretty closely for 30 years odd , as that is somewhat of a specialty for me as that is what i know ( opity it wasnt fintechs or bnpl!!!) -normally , the market is very slow to wake up to the outlook for rural stocks -that is what I play on, and arbitrage that!
This time it seems to be preempting doom and gloom - i see scattered showers in nsw today,which look lighter than yesterday and more in south and east.... but correct me if I'm wrong- but big tonnages in the north west (particularly west of the highway) but like Coonamble and Walgett would be off as they have been less affected in past few days I think--- is that correct?
the above is from this time last year- a bit earlier, and maybe harvest not as far progressed this year I suspect
maybe the market is a bit worried about the wet this time -and it is a bit more serious- but another hit Friday moreso in South of the East coast cropping area and then clearing up for a bit by the look
