Don't get me wrong as I am not downplaying the games steadfast have played and will continue and their outright poor arrogant response to ABC and market in general. . Each level of provider has separate obligations and the poorest part is the non compliance and then lack of penalty- hence a lesser focus on compliance. Each layer of non compliance has lead to then end strata holder being well in the dark which is unacceptable . It took decades to clear up disclosure of commissions in financial planning in theory and insurance providers and brokers are in for same pain. As for the other big one 99% of people and advisors still not understand their other big investment and fees - ie super. Othe rend to all this is that you can't be a dumb inactive uneducated strata member and expect it all to be OK with no effort and if your strata managers is not doing their job and aware of industry problemsn and doing best for you not themselves they have to be changed and i know that is not easy. Portable strata like portable super so docs, accounts etc etc are all portable and easy to move may force better systems , compliance and weed out poor companies / providers across all services as resistance to move and risk of moving is gone. ?
