This is the point about the portfolio I have been advocating for some time. As economies slows down and deal with higher cost , you have to have that market presence to keep margins and perform better than other industries and companies. Global markets too will be deeply impacted if treasury rates goes up to 3% for 10yr. If you add the increase energy costs some countries will be really struggling. If that is the economy we are facing, even if MFG portfolio suffers, it is going to be better than others, specially the indexes. That will be the point fund managers will start looking positively at MFG funds again and stop the outflows. Hopefully this point comes soon for MFG sake.
