Hoping somebody can assist me here. I am knew to a dividend paying stock. I do not own NHC just yet, but I am intending on buying sometime over the next couple of days. Am I right in saying that for every one share I own? I will be paid a 31 cent dividend as long as I am in before the drop dead date in October. This seems rather fantastical to me if I pay $20,000 for the shares. I'll get $6000 back. Is this correct? Just FYI, am not actually buying NHC for this dividend, I'm buying it for longer term hold. Thank you.
