The buybacks for both NHC and WHC have proven to be disadvantageous for both shareholders and the companies. If they had just paid out in dividends it would have been more rewarding for shareholders, and with a high payiut it would have propped the share price better in my opinion. Also the companies have bought back at higher prices and the lesser shares on offer haven't translated to a higher price.
