I think the majority of the 18,000 would rather get a dividend and pay some tax than take a risk in possibly
getting nothing.

There shouldn’t be need to dump shares because of board’s decision, if one needs to supplant one’s income!…
The normal waffle that we normally hear from the board…they take into consideration what maximises the benefit for the majority of holders.
In the current economic environment the wisest decision would’ve been to divert the BB into dividends.
It puts into question the board’s attitude towards being socially responsible entity.

Many holders aren’t professional investors and simply take a chance in supplementing their yearly income thru dividends. Especially, during the period when term deposits were earn stuff all.
