Effectively yes, generally added to holders income and then combined amount is taxed accordingly however best to speak to your accountant.
IMHO, the least favourable of any distribution models outside of the .19 return of capital especially for those who have held for more than 12 months. Doing the calcs myself however most of mine are in the SMSF so tax is minimal compared to personal tax.
