The subdued results shouldn't let us lose sight as to how REH's expansion in the USA (with the exception of the waterworks business problem highlighted above) is proceeding smoothly despite the many differences with Australia, and how the ANZ business is market-leading and extremely difficult for a competitor to replicate.
REH has the management experience to navigate through the current soft housing construction and repairs and renovation markets, even though we have an incompetent Federal Labor government in Australia and a state in Victoria that were it a private business would have been placed in administration in the last few years.
