I believe it drops but not always to exact amount. Sometimes it drops by dividend amount, sometimes dividend+Franklin credits, assuming other factors remain constant.
I look at the close price on the day dividend is announced. As SP starts to factor in dividend from that day onwards.
Here, dividend was announced on 28 July after 4PM. Close on 29 July was 131.57.
131.57 - 120.26 = $11.31.
