The estimated profit reserve available as at 31 January represents 0.9 years of annual dividend coverage BEFORE payment of this dividend. This means the ability of the company to continue paying dividends after this one depends on what profits (from positive portfolio performance) and franking credits (from paying company tax) the company generates in the coming year.
So, if they have a negative portfolio performance, there is potential for reduced dividends that are not fully franked.
