Even some dopey Investment firms or brokerage firms aren’t aware off this third type of capital return.
If these firms are aware of this third form of return of capital, they are abetting company boards that are simply catering for the whims of institutions tax benefits.
I keep badgering that in the past I could get 2 dividends and a tax free return of capital payment within the Financial year!
Maybe these investments firms are conspiring against the mum and dad investors.
With the current financial climate I’m confident that a majority of mum and dad investors would prefer the the third option without the need to dispose of shares
