New Zealand investors like DRP on ASX stocks because they don't have to wait 20 working days for the div payment to clear through the banking system. (This is slowly being negated thank goodness by direct credits in $NZ into NZ bank accounts). The small discount usually offered plus no brokerage is attractive too. Someone once said that compound interest was the 8th wonder of the world. DRP's fit into that category.
Some ASX companies have DRP's but exclude NZ investors (eg ILU) despite decades of CER (Closer Economic Relations) operations.
