Hey mate, before I wrote this I was trying to find an old twitter conversation with a specialist gold stock fund manager who explained the mechanics of the index dates. I couldn’t find the exact conversation but then he happened to write a post last night about WGX potential for index inclusion.
So fairly sure GDX is different mechanism to GDXJ (VE).
