Always a lot harder to get kicked out of the GDX because the threshold for deletion is market cap to fall below US$450M. Ironically it closed yesterday at US$720M despite the addition being done on the basis of >US$750M (measurement last Friday).
Index rebalances are always the third Friday of a quarter-end month.
