I think that the fluctuations in WIC are not necessarily options or technically based. It’s a small fund and I think that it is largely overlooked. I don’t know if Geoff Wilson still has an interest. WSA has done well for them, as has Austal and today Cooper energy which is 5% of the fund, has made a gas ? Oil ? Discovery and gone up 10%. I was a holder of WIC when they were in the doldrums a few years back and I think they dropped from 1.20 down to the 90 cent level. I picked up some more, but interestingly even as the NTA tends to increase, the SP tends to be stuck in a relatively narrow channel. The div has been consistent for some years now at 3cps which gives a good consistent approx 6% FF div. Sooner or later the NTA has to close, not always necessarily the case with LICs if the manager doesn’t perform, but in this case they seem to be. Frustrating that SP is not closer to the NTA, but as long as the WIC performance graph keeps going up at a 45degree angle, I’m happy !
