Peter Church was with OMH for 10 years so I guess he knows a bit about getting a smelter up and running. I hear that OMH has already had some dealings with LMG.
If LMG goes ahead with producing magnesium in Sarawak this could consume all of OMH ferrosilicon.
It may have been foolish to convert the 2 x FeSi furnaces to Si Met, would've been better to keep the two FeSi furnaces and build the Si met furnaces from scratch. The money lost in non production and conversion would've paid for 2 brand new Si Met furnaces.
Although LMG has a long way to go before production of magnesium. This will be a good question for the next webinar.
