My guess is that the money can only stretch so far. They would have shot the 3D over the proposed project area and immediate surrounds to better understand where to put the production wells and also to hope that nearby leads are identified to further enhance an already great looking project.
Once the project is producing cash then they would look at expanding the area of 3D to further evaluate the whole lease.
But like I said - just my guess only?
