great find, trying to wrap my simple minded potato head around the demonstration looks as tho the GQDs almost stick to crude oil giving it, its on fluorescence. on many oil/water/fuel filter-separators they have clear bottoms to see if any water is collected which would be a easy test point to check for counterfeits oils also at larger bulk sample points and tankers fitted with sight glasses.
remember DTZ was approached from a company to test viability of this for counterfeiting purposes imo when we see a significant commercial deal it will be in regards to this application first.
