Melbourne (Australia) – 1 June 2022. Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX, Telix, the Company)
announces changes to its executive leadership team, including the appointment of Darren Smith as
Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Doug Cubbin will step down from his role of Group CFO effective 31 July 2022. Doug joined the
Company in May 2017, prior to Company’s initial public offer (IPO) and listing on the ASX and has
overseen the development of Telix’s financial function, systems and processes as well as a number
of critical acquisitions and asset in-licenses. Doug will be succeeded by Darren Smith who joined
Telix in the role of Deputy Group CFO in February 2022 as part of Group-wide succession planning
activities.
Darren Smith has over 20 years of executive finance and general management experience, including
as Global CFO and Company Secretary at Sirtex Medical Limited (previously ASX: SRX). During his
11-year tenure at Sirtex, Darren was a key leader during a period of rapid workforce expansion and
revenue growth and remained with Sirtex during its acquisition by China Grand Pharma and CPH
Genentech in 2018. Darren has a Master of Business Administration from the University of New
South Wales, and a Bachelor of Business (Accounting). He is a Fellow Certified Practicing
Accountant (FCPA).
Group Chief Operating Officer (COO), **riel Liberatore will also step down from his role, effective
31 July 2022. As Group COO, **riel was tasked not only with delivering on the infrastructure and
planning phases for the development of Telix’s manufacturing facility at Seneffe, Belgium; but also
with the identification, recruitment and development of regional operating teams to support Telix’s
forward commercial activity, all of which has been established over the past 18 months under
**riel’s leadership. Regional COOs for Americas, EMEA and APAC and the General Manager,
Seneffe, will now lead the operations functions in their respective regions under the leadership of
regional CEOs whilst working closely with global manufacturing, regulatory and quality counterparts.
Regional CEO, Americas appointment
Since February 2022, Group CEO, Dr Christian Behrenbruch has assumed the additional role of
interim CEO, Telix Americas. Telix is pleased to advise that a new CEO for the Americas region has
been identified with an early Q3 2022 start date anticipated. Further details will be announced in line
with the planned commencement.
Dr Christian Behrenbruch, Group CEO said, “These leadership changes and new appointments are
an immensely positive reflection of our transition to a commercial stage company and are part of our
programmed succession planning. Both Doug and ** have been a key part of Telix’s journey from
start-up to launching our first approved product. They have also led the establishment and
development of core functions and regional operating structures and systems. This transition
enables Telix to move into the next phase of growth. On behalf of the Board and the Company I
