I see what you're saying about the 8 months worth of subscription fees to break even, if the average customer stays for 9+ months (how often do people really change banks / banking providers?) it's worth it. Plus if you are paying the subscription fee I think more customers will use the wealth / crypto jars which will generate further revenue.
I don't agree with the $1 per user comment as you need to measure by active users, unfortunately management doesn't provide that information which is disappointing.
I don't think it's a gamble as their is no cost if it doesn't work, if you're suggesting people will sign up transact once, take the $20 and run. Do people really have enough energy / time to do that on a large enough scale?
