Once again, the stupidity of establishing a low volume manufacturing plants (no doubt to placate the ALP's union 'maaates') instead of having trains built overseas (which provided they're properly supervised, can result in big taxpayer savings).
We lack the rollingstock volumes to manufacture in Oz, especially since most states insist on funding separate manufactuers' plants.
Uneconomic. A bad deal!
