Showers and storms will become more widespread across the state on Thursday and Friday as the low and an associated trough move east. Some storms may be severe, bringing a risk of heavy rain and damaging winds.

This system is likely to bring rain to all of the state's western and southern districts and parts of the east Pilbara, Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla districts between now and Friday.

Parts of the south coast, wheat belt and Goldfields could receive 5-15mm of rain with the passage of this system, with isolated totals above 20mm likely. This could be the heaviest rain in about 7-8 months for parts of the Goldfields.

FYI  likely to be slowed down for a few days or more  depending on how much we cop

we are about 80 - 100 km west of Leonora so could be heavier given the direction is coming from ... hang tight
