Chinese companies are building EVs in Mexico, providing a 'back door' entry to USA. And while Gangfeng is having a 'stoush' with Mexican government re it's concessions (see https://www.reuters.com/markets/com...ithium-target-date-amid-govt-spat-2023-11-09/), it also has quite a few 'irons in the fire' in Argentina (see https://finance.yahoo.com/news/lithium-argentina-announces-ganfeng-lithium-142600670.html). Not sure I'd call Central American countries politically stable though, although their business and political 'elite' no doubt will help to ensure profitability for all concerned.
