I've read the announcement a few times now and it makes sense to spend the time at this stage removing as many contaminants as possible. We know they can make carbonate but they are really perfecting the process now.

I believe that the few weeks wait will mostly be because of the third-party testing of the final product and they should be able to make initial samples quite quickly .
