Agreed, RAC's are only about bottom line profit imo. They are paying for on site Nurses. These are privately owned companies, not all government funded like most hospitals where inefficiency is rife.
If the Nurses can perform a pain check on a patient, accurately and in 1-2 minutes, then that equates to saving tens of thousands of dollars p/a in lost time. I see Painchek driven by not only the bean counters in RAC's, but by families of patients who want the best care for their loved ones and I am sure they/ patients will pay a small sum for the service. I also believe that RAC's will be paid comms per use by PainChek, , so this actually could be a big left field money spinner for them . Thoughts only, happy to be corrected.
