My take is if it was a resignation, like NC, there would be a transition period with plenty of notice while they found a new CEO.
Either he was escorted to the door or he walked out in a hissy fit. No CEO leaves the building immediately without plenty of notice. It's CV poison. Unless he's been poached by the competition (who are also trashing their market.)
Of course the problem now is what will he say/reveal in the near future about the company? Was he under a confidentiality clause? or a non competition clause? The elephant in the room is where is he now?

While I initially thought it was a slight positive, on reflection the immediate departure raises significant concerns.
Maybe Susan, rather than being superwoman, is actually in crises control mode. Is she in Australia or the US atm?
