The soft oxidised ore is already generating slimes that go straight to tails
The more competent granitic host will autogenously grind the wolframite to slime that go straight to tails.
Perhaps if the ore were a little more heterogenous ie veined, it would work. It's also wolframite so unlike scheelite it's not really going to be suited to floatation recovery if they grind it too fine.
AMAX-NATC abandoned this and went off to chase +1% tungsten grades in a challenging underground mine beneath the frozen arctic northwest territories of Canada. Drakelands grades are less than one-fifth of this which means the mine has to be incredibly well managed and the plant actually has to recover tungsten.
