The main mineralisation in the M’Passa – Moubiri and Mindouli copper districts include copper, lead, zinc, and silver. Ore bodies occur mainly as irregular vein forms and rarely as layered occurrences in the Proterozoic basement and lower Jurassic to Upper Cretaceous siliceous clastics, shale, and carbonates. The ore is controlled by the Mindouli fault, and the main ore body occurs in this fault zone.


In summary, the deposit characteristics of the prospects are seen as follows:

• N’Zala – Diangala: A shear/fault zone and vein hosted system with lead-zinc mineralisation.
• Tchicoumba: A fault hosted and residual concentration system within the limestones with again a bias towards lead zinc assemblages.
• Moubiri: A shear / fault zone and vein hosted predominantly copper system.
• Mindouli: A copper-rich system hosted in the shear / fault zones, and as disseminated off shoots of concordant, discordant and massive ore.
• M’Passa: Lead and zinc, with minor copper in a complex shear zone with brecciated dykes and pipes. Again predominantly carbonate hosted.

The main Mindouli mining area is about 148 kilometres from Brazzaville (the Republic of Congo’s capital) and 420 kilometres from Pointe-Noire (the Republic of Congo’s major seaport).

The Company has conducted exploration activities including an extensive regional soil survey consisting of 7000 samples. A significant number of historical drill holes provide a good base of geological and mineralisation data. A total of 46 drill holes have been drilled by the Company within the tenement between 2007 and 2012. In addition, 5 trenches have been excavated and 12 areas have been identified as holding further potential. A surface cutting was developed for the extraction and metallurgical testing of bulk samples from June 2010 to early 2011
