If you are the employer and given Malone track record over MANY YEARS of pure talk and no actual result to demonstrate skill set, would you first demote then re-promote his talent?

I remain skeptical dealing with ceo who comes from banking/finance/accounting career because their normal skill set is promoting since they usually lack the technical aspects of exploring/mining. General comment and not necessary painting wholesale group of individuals. VHP's Mackenzie will be a few of the exception.
