Aug 15, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - In 1978, the Ontario Geological Survey visited the Carb Lake carbonatite complex and recovered the diamond drill core for two holes (No. 3 & 4) stored at the site (Sage, 1983, 1987). Sage (1983, 1987) also re-examined samples collected during Operation Lingman Lake. Samples from the two recovered drill holes were analyzed for trace elements including Nb, Y, La, Nd and Ce. Two samples reported 1,500 ppm Nb and another 5 samples reported greater than 0.1% Nb. As well, one sample reported 5,620 ppm Ce. Sample H1-240 returned 0.1% U3O8 (Bennett and Riley, 1969).Here's some data
