Good breakdown, but let’s clear a few things up. First, the 400–800 ppm Ga isn’t Ga₂O₃—it’s elemental Ga from assays, not oxide equivalent. That alone puts it at the high end globally, especially for a primary target. Yes, chlorite hosts aren’t ideal like sulphides, but we’re not talking 5 ppm trace recovery here—it’s an ore-scale enrichment, and they’ve got CSIRO + Curtin on metallurgy, not backyard alchemy.

Second, this isn’t underground mining. Open pit over 20–50m? That’s barely scratching the surface by WA mining standards. No one's using tweezers—bulk extraction, pre-concentration, and leachability testing are exactly why Curtin’s involved. The fact that they’re even talking maiden JORC tells you they believe recovery is viable, not theoretical.

MTM's urban Ga from e-waste? Great PR, tiny volume. It’s not competing with potential 100s of tonnes per year if Nimy cracks it. Saying “there are no Ga mines” misses the point—there weren’t lithium mines either until demand and tech aligned. This is early-stage. If the metallurgy holds up, a high-grade, open-pittable deposit in WA is a very different proposition than trying to scrape gallium out of zinc tailings or aluminium plants in China.

And let’s be blunt—China controls over 90% of gallium production. If you think the West isn’t looking for sovereign supply chains in strategic metals like this, you haven’t been paying attention.
