AUL is at this stage an under ground operation so very low environmental impact all though I have heard rumors of open cut development.

All water is treated and returned to the system as per environmental requirements.

All tails are turned into a slurry and pumped into previously mined areas something Fosterville are just now embarking on.

There's plenty more reasons why mine site rehabilitation will be years away and cost less than you are trying to portray. But yes it's something which does need to be considered and I for one love the area and don't want to see it left environmentally damaged.
