We all need to move on from the past. I doubt many on here have lost more than I have, but that's the past. At the time TYX (or IFE at the time) was $1.6, AGO was $4 (2008), and thats now worth less that TYX stock. Similar with BCI. That was IO stocks at the time.
Anyone who bought this stock a year ago at 0.2c would now have made 100% return on that. Looking at historical prices with hindsight is a wonderfully easy thing to do. Future predictions, world events etc is almost impossible.
TYX, which started as TRF was a gold play, the prospectus was about Lynas found (yes now sold as part lithium play). The IO was discovered whilst looking for gold, and markets at the time were looking handsome for IO and IFE spun out.
I was never happy with how spread TRF had become, after it had money back from ROL (which was Gold and yes a good little investment). I think they split out looking for too many things at once with too little funds. Twin Peaks wasnt a good idea, but OGX was. Following IVR and looking for silver didnt work out, but buying land around Challenger was. Tin has always been talked about in the past but not now.
Overall a lot of thinks have happened, mgt have done some good some bad. Like many other companies.
I think its best now to focus on what we have here - a new focus, and new leadership and evaluate that on what it is, and make decisions based on that.
Some people seem "honour bound" to tell everyone how bad management is, and save them from making the same mistakes that they did, but thats not helping the company or those that have remained.
There were times i could have made some good money from this company, but chose to hold on for better times (turning into a producer and shipping IO), that didnt happen.
I will remain a holder and look towards the future.
I will be very interested to know how they intend to convert a resource definition into a way to turn it into money, but i am happy they are focusing on one area and trying to make it work.
In the short term i will be watching OGX with interest and seeing what impact that has with TYX.
