I admit to being mystified with your metaphor — but it sounds good
I definitely have this complex where I follow more the “related company” , maybe can be seen as underdog—but with good people in charge, determined & experienced & qualified management, company and assets/ projects with the best potential to grow, with discoveries or some sort of breakthrough likelihood.
With even substantial value appreciation likely in reasonable timeframe.
Without doubt I see CPM as no1 for value atm , at this market cap, in the west Cloncurry triptich group —Cooper is a very comfortable buy to hold now, & into the future.
If CPM locate a fairly shallow good copper resource which can be easily mined- we will have a very simple success story here to build upon. Contract milling through Glencore mill within 50kms at very low cost - good roads and rail transport.
Cooper is remarkable for the extremely valuable Cloncurry tenements - along strike from CNB and also Mt Hope (CNB/HMX likely combined resource)
Ironic that originally the WA tenements were likely to have been more in focus for the company.
Very sentimental for HMX to re-rate & attract a suitable partner, to ultimately develop Kalman. (Probably somehow in conjunction with the no1 undeveloped molybdenum-cu resource globally I think. There may yet be further molybdenum-cu resources in the area not yet discovered?)
The complexities and variety in metals and minerals in this area is incredible. Mary Kathleen also close & valuable deposits of quartz , rare earths likely, as well as the copper and gold rich and other polymetallic deposits.
Big implications for all three including CNB if any major company or entity steps up to JV further with any of the companies, or make acquisitions.
S32, Rio, Sumitomo , Nippon, Glencore , BHP nominally via OZL interests in holdings, are all seeking - this area is globally significant and is ideal jurisdiction with infrastructure in place.
Nearly 140 years history of exploration and mining for copper especially right here.
If a major company somehow saw fit to acquire HMX, for Kalman + the large land area and satellite resources and great unexplored potentials altogether—I think this could really complicate the exploration and development pathway mainly for CNB, for Mt Hope.
CPM hold also Mt Hope ground and any action and success for CNB or HMX also rubs off onto CPM here.
I am very excited for Ardmore drilling now.
CPM has been one of the easiest stocks I have ever bought, to own. MEP/ DRM was torturous, way too many facepalm moments. But grateful.
I do very much follow and love the Cloncurry copper exploration & resource companies stories ongoing.
Thankful to @Mallyrock for tagging me here in CPM near inception after MEP takeover had been announced.
I have to own shares also in HMX for best overall combined upside totally from the breadth of tenements and prospects combined. (including for in WA )
CNB - I don’t believe to be cheap anymore. Though wish I had bought it of course .
When I held DRM before it was taken over, it was astonishing the disparity in market caps, as Carnaby has no resource as yet. A lot of proving up to do.
CPM of the three- of all companies exploring in the Cloncurry region imo, has best nearterm upside for new discovery potential.
