THE GOLD ANOMALY

In early-stage gold exploration there is often talk of gold ‘anomalies’. In simple terms this is where samples have been taken and the amount of gold found in them is higher than what is normal for that area. This is good news because it means there is a better chance that a gold deposit occurs in this area.

It would appear that the 420ppb AU (preliminary Rover results) is a pretty impressive number dependent on recovery costs (overburden,  plant and equipment and labor).  If the pay is found relatively at a relatively shallow level and the pay streaks are contiguous this could be a huge opportunity to put some gold in the box…
