They would of obviously done road side sampling before committing to drill the area, a lot of exploration teams take this course of action in the WA Wheatbelt as getting land access and dealing with the farmers can be a major pain in the ass and a costly exercise if they will let you in at all, you have to work around the seasons which slows all exploration up, companies are getting better at leaving a minimum impact with new drill rigs and cleaning up after they are done.
