I'm not so sure.
The crazy strong US dollar can't last up there for long and if you look at the gold price in other currencies, it's held up pretty well compared to many other assets.
Seriously looking at getting back in at these levels (I got out at $2.13 last time). Gold will have another run, probably to new highs next year as the US economy unravels.
