I just noticed on the report that for the quarter ended 31/12/19 Morila is listed as having produced 15,000 oz with an AISC of $1063. See screenshot below. NO. 25 on the list.
The report said the average price received for GOLD was $US1482 for all the companies covered.
Once we start feeding the Plant from the Satellites, Koting and the outside area of the Pit the AISC should reduce due to economies of scale (volume). Should come in easily below $US1000.
If we do 100k oz/pa at sale price say, $US1850 and AISC of say $US1000 that puts us in front by $US850 x 100000 = $US85 MILL at $0.71 exchange rate $A120 MILL.
At near full capacity of 150k/oz pa we are looking at around $180 mill pa.
As we build if we get say 50k oz/pa first full year (just a guess) that is around $A60 MILL.
AISC is not used to calculate profit and loss for the Annual Report results or taxation. It is used for transparency to more accurately reflect the true cost of mining from exploration to closure.
Anyway at least we have some figures to work with when doing estimates. I am lousy with spreadsheets. Some posters are experts.
I note the sheer number of explorers making strikes. Indicates that margins may eventually be competed down - although there is price pressure to the upside. We are lucky we do not have to wait 2 years to build a Plant and that the Doc is on the ball commencing drilling already.
