There is an obvious reluctance and fear to purchase a share where a CR is about to announced.

There is every chance you buy at 3.4c tomorrow only for a CR to be announced at 2.5c on Tuesday. Stock immediately falls to that price and you're sitting on a significant loss. Much safer to wait until CR announced and buy the dip.
