Twinning holes is actually quite valid these days, its called "data verification holes" as most of the old drill results are not JORC 2012 compliant so the good hits do need to be twinned to get assay results with all the correct QA/QC so they can be included in any resource calculation as remember there is an inferred resource there which can be upgraded with the right drilling
