I have often thought about that scenario, I wonder what the rules are when you are part of an exploration drilling crew for a publicly listed company, surely a non-disclosure?
Perhaps the drilling samples are just retrieved and contained in a way that contractors can't exactly examine? It's not a very wide sample they take so it may take a very keen eye and a lot of prior knowledge. As for striking a thumping nugget, well I'm pretty sure we all know what would happen there...
