Yup, the canadian/ontario govt basically has a consultation process which consists of putting up a notice with a month to respond. If no one responds they consider it done and crack on.
HOWEVER CAZ did more than this and have been in contact with the Sachigo Lake First Nation since early in the process, and directly as well. They didnt just leave it to the online process.
My view is that this is a small pawn in the much larger issue that all the First Nations groups are pursuing with the Ontario govt about mining in general. It will open back up but on more favourable terms for the people
