This thought has crossed my mind but i think if you actually calculated the actual returns it wouldnt really change, as even though he would buy more at cheaper prices the dilution effect would reduce the benefit of having a larger % ownership of the company

I just did the sums. As you predicted @TMacker, the dilution effect outweighs the number of shares you can buy at a cheaper price. I owe Brian an apology.
