I expect Zijin to want this in the next 2 years as they are hungry on the M&A gold front. And they are no strangers to this part of the world having financed Montage Gold's Kone project also here in Cote D'Ivoire. They also hold, along with Lundin Group, a strategic % of Montage Gold who just acquired a 19.9% stake in ASX:A1G, also gold explorer in Cote D'Ivoire ( A1G Announces Strategic Partnership with Montage Gold ), however A1G's projects are much closer to the Burkino Faso border.
Perseus could even be a contender in the ring if they can't get their hands on PDI's Bankan project as they already run Sissingue and Yaoure operations here in Cote D'Ivoire and I'm sure they would be no stranger to buying out what will eventually become a 5+MOz operation.
