Liontown was originally a gold mine called Carrington and the area around it was declared as the Carrington Goldfield. Below the base of oxidation the Carrington lode had chalcopyrite copper and gold.
The New Queen lode was discovered decades later. It is a different lode which is lead, zinc and silver rich.
The goldfield became a zinc rich project in investors and developers eyes. Sunshine is right to focus on gold and copper because this has, I think, more potential to change the economics of Liontown than a bit more lead and zinc.
Sunshine is likely to add more gold and copper in the resource upgrade but perhaps only increase confidence levels in the lead, zinc and silver lodes.
