Two points:
1. Modern stockmarket BS being bots/algo trading/short sellers/internet trading itself/stop losses re being triggered/alarmist posts by the w*nkers on chat sites - at its finest
2. I would modify your assessment Hersuit - those of us who haven't sold fall into category 2 ie those who see LT value in a stock and ride through all the crap in 1. above
